Come and join Merry Hell and friends for MerryMeet this April

merry hell 2023

Every year everyone’s favourite folk rock band Merry Hell visit the Liverpool Philharmonic Hall Music Room to raise the roof, raise merry hell, and dance the night away.

But there’s a problem. Every year the show sells out, with many unfortunate people missing out on tickets. The band also know of fans who aren’t able to attend their Liverpool show, either because it’s all standing, because it finishes too late for them to get home, or because they don’t want to bring younger children.

So the boffins in the band put their heads together and devised a folktastic plan…!

Merry Hell, in association with Liverpool Acoustic, are proud to announce MerryMeet 2023.

Taking place on Saturday 22nd April, MerryMeet consists of three events – two shows and a get-together.

1PM SEATED SHOW

For the first show of the day (12pm doors, 1pm start) expect stripped-back performances from Merry Hell Acoustic, a slimmed down version of group. With unreserved seating throughout, and a 3.30pm finish, this is the perfect Spring Saturday afternoon for the whole family.

The 1pm show will be opened by Anthony John Clarke, whose wonderful songs, warm personality, and humerous stories never fail to entertain.

8PM STANDING SHOW

The second show of the day (7pm doors, 8pm start) is Merry Hell’s traditional, hell-raising, all standing, full band show. Expect dancing, singing, and more dancing!

Support for the 8pm show is provided by Jenny Colquitt. Winner of FATEA Female Solo Singer/Songwriter 2022, Jenny’s music showcases a unique combination of Americana, indie, rold rock and pop.

PLEASE NOTE – This is a standing show. Limited seating will be available in the bar area on a first come, first served basis from 7pm.

MERRYMEET

Everyone who buys a ticket to both shows qualifies for a £5 discount and gains entry to MerryMeet and the Big Merry Singaround at the Casa on Hope Street. Taking place between the two shows, MerryMeet is an opportunity to meet the band, socialise with other Merry Hell fans, and join in the Big Merry Singaround. Come along with your own songs, an instrument if you have one, and join in the fun!
