Liverpool Acoustic are delighted to announce that Martin Carthy, the godfather of English folk, will be performing at the Music Room on Tuesday 20th September as part of a new season of shows this autumn. Martin will be supported on the night by Danny Bradley, winner of the Liverpool Acoustic Songwriting Challenge 2021 Judges’ Award.
The new Liverpool Acoustic season kicks off in fine style earlier in the month when exciting, contemporary folk duo Gilmore & Roberts bring their infectious, award winning music to the Music Room on Sunday 4th September.
Monday 31st October – Halloween night – sees Nosferatu: A Symphony of Horrors haunting the Music Room with Chris Green’s new score commissioned by English Heritage for the original vampire film’s 100th anniversary.
The popular It Takes Two: Merseyside’s Best Vocal Duos show is back on Saturday 26th November with two returning acts in the form of White Little Lies and Rob Jones & Rob White, and two brand new acts, Tennessee Waltz and Igloo Hearts.
The season also sees a brand new collaboration, with Rob Gough Promotions hosting a showcase event at Pierre Griffes on Allerton Road in August, plus one more exciting Music Room show in December. Details for both of these will be announced soon.
