Waiting for the stars to come is the new single from Keith Lally.
The track opens with a beautifully played acoustic guitar riff and sets the scene for a wistful and nostalgic track. Lally’s grounded vocals add a sense of realism to the song, making it seem almost conversational as if he was singing it just to you.
There is a real hidden emotion behind the lyrics which is somewhat offset by the cheerful melody, especially the vocal scatting which encourages you to sing along. This is a great track from Lally and I feel that it is not truly appreciated until after a few plays.
The production of the track is wonderfully balanced and draws you in, keeping you engaged throughout the track. I really look forward to hearing more from Lally if this track is anything to go by!
