Liverpool Acoustic are proud to announce the launch of the brand new Liverpool Acoustic 24 Hour Art Challenge to run in conjunction with the 24 Hour Songwriting Challenge and Threshold X.

24 Hour Art Challenge

A theme will be announced at 12pm on Saturday 27th March 2021 and artists will then have 24 hours to create a brand new work of art inspired by it.

The art can be in any physical or digital form – it’s totally up to each artist.

Participants will have until 1pm on Sunday 28th March to finish their piece of art and submit it using the online application form on the Challenge website.

The 24 Hour Art Challenge was created as a challenge for both budding and established artists. As such there will be no judges or public vote – participation is just for fun and an opportunity to showcase new art.

All the art entries will be collated into an online gallery which will be launched for the start of the 24 Hour Songwriting Challenge.

24 Hour Songwriting Challenge

This year songwriters will have from 12pm on Saturday 3rd April 2021 until 12pm on Sunday 4th April to write a brand new song inspired by one of the new works of art in the gallery.

All of the entries will be added to a YouTube playlist for eveyone to enjoy. Our judges will choose the Judges’ Award winner and the public will get a chance to vote for their favourite too.

Last year Rachel Burnett won the Judges’ Award with her song Rain, inspired by the art of Nathan Pendelbury. Emily Callacher won the public vote with her song My Circus Mind, inspired by Threshold Festival visual artist Max da Silva Willis.
