These are grim times ladies and gentleman. 2020 will forever be remembered as the year live music stayed indoors and kept itself to itself. One salutes those artists determined to fight the good fight and carry on making quality music. Walking onstage, plugging in and screaming down a microphone might be off the menu right now, but we do have means to exercise our creative muses and record/write new music whilst we wait. Some artists are using this period to release new material. One such artist is Mike Ryan.
I’m With You is a gentle song that carries your soul through a gust of wind. It swirls and glides over beaches and cityscapes. It builds and pulls you over the skyscrapers. It climbs to an altitude, pauses and gives you a moment to look towards the horizon. This tune snaps you out the ‘lockdown’ blues for a few minutes. It gives you hope and buoyancy and reminds you that things will come round.
I’m With You showcases this artist’s ability to craft something epic and adventurous. One certainly enjoyed listening to this tune and one is looking forward to more from Mike Ryan.
