Although a relative newcomer to his chosen instrument, music has been in Jon’s life as long as he can remember. Due to both an undying love for music, as well as inspiration from the greats of the folk and blues scene, Jon began writing, and didn’t stop. By crafting a unique playing style that compliments his rich melodies and provocative lyrics perfectly, Jon has carved a sound that is always in demand.Through his music you will hear the romance of Folk and the heartbreak of Blues, combined with a unique style that’s all his own. After spending the past few years experimenting with recording, Jon has finally endeavoured to begin releasing his material to the world at large. By utilising Indiegogo to help fund a lot of exciting content, he will certainly be onto big things soon.
With her feisty soaring vocals and ferocious guitar playing, Kim delivers an exiting and energetic sound. Fusing traditional rock and blues with a pinch of her own unique flavour she delivers a head turning performance. Taking influences from muddy waters to No Doubt, from Joan jet to Halestorm , Kim started writing music to help her through difficult times in her life, making her songs real raw and gritty.
To date Kim has self released two EP’s a charity single of the cover “aint no sunshine” by bill withers that toped the iTunes pop chart at 18 ,the main chart at 48 and the indie breakers at 4. she has played across the UK acoustically and with her band performing alongside the likes of scouting for girls, Molotov jukebox and the undertones. She is now hard at work on her 3rd EP and is currently breaking into the Manchester scene.

The remains of The Cramps fronted by a lovesick male banshee jamming with a Black Sabbath tribute band and the ghost of Dick Dale in a haunted house.

THREE MINUTE HERO
Deriving the name from a song by 2-tone ska band The Selecter, Three Minute Hero is a semi acoustic artist active on the live music scene. The brainchild of Liverpool songwriter, musician and award-winning promoterStuart Todd, Three Minute Hero fuses raw social commentary with an eclectic mix of melodic material; elevating the classic three minute pop song by giving it a subversive lyrical twist.Stuart Todd recorded his first EP Playing The Field in 2004, followed by a second EP Man On A Mission in 2005. Having worked with musician Neil Campbell in the group Triad, the two re-emerged as an acoustic duo; with the release of their long awaited studio album Campbell Todd in October 2007. Stuart fronted his own group, TheFreebies, to promote his first solo album A Question Of Time during 2009/2010.
Since 2009, Stuart has been promoting the long running Liverpool Acoustic event; with Graham Holland at The View Two Gallery. The success of Liverpool Acoustic was confirmed at the first ever Liverpool Music Awards, when Stuart collected the award for Live Music Night of the Year 2012. They won the award again in 2013. Building on this success, Stuart is now running a popular open mic night every Monday at Sound Food & Drink.
Stuart Todd has reinvented himself and is bringing a fresh approach to his music with Three Minute Hero. The artist has been in the studio recording tracks for a new album with respected producer and engineer Andy Fernihough.

With songs about the ups and downs of life and love, and the odd bit of topical content thrown in, Derek is very much a songwriter for today.
Having been a musical performer for most of his adult life, Derek’s musical journey began at the tender age of 16 when he played bass guitar in a post punk “new-wave” band. The band went on (without him!) to become the “the Vapors” and enjoyed a respectable amount of success and a couple of top ten hits. Having the wrong hair-style for the Vapors meant that Derek went in his own musical direction and became a gigging solo artist around the Guildford area for a while.
Later on he moved to Liverpool, where he has lived for the past 20+ years, and he has played in various bands before more recently finding his niche as a solo singer-songwriter. His song “Perfect Days” was awarded a “Commended Entry” certificate in the 2012 UK Songwriting Contest and in 2013 and 2014 his entries “Beautiful in Blue” and “To Be a Boy” were both finalists in the prestigious Liverpool Acoustic Songwriting Challenge.
A regular performer around Liverpool’s acoustic music scene, Derek is also an enthusiastic promoter of local music and hosts his own regular events under the name “K’s Choice Acoustic“.
If you get the chance, please support your local artists by joining their mailing lists, liking their facebook pages, following them on twitter, leaving them comments, going to their gigs, and buying their music direct from them where possible. The Liverpool Acoustic Spotlight is produced and presented by Graham Holland and Stuart Todd on behalf of the Liverpool Acoustic website, and is a proud member of the Association of Music Podcasting. The theme music alternates between King of the Faeries by Andrew Ellis from his CD Midnight On The Water, and Solid Ground by Neil Campbell.
