Liverpool Acoustic Live are proud to present Tom George’s Gravity album launch at 81 Renshaw.
Tom George is a Liverpool creative who is impossible to pigeonhole. In twenty years in his adopted city he has embarked on countless projects across many art forms but always returns to his primary passion, music-making. As a guitarist and singer, Tom usually performs solo or with sparse backing, but the recordings he creates are richly layered and melodic. Tom’s previous album Postcards was praised by Liverpool Acoustic as “both eclectic and cohesive” and he has taken his time creating a worthy follow-up album, Gravity. At the launch Tom will be debuting songs from the album alongside his more familiar tunes such as Drifter and Womankind.
Also performing on the night will be Dawn and the Embers, a female folk-pop, harmony trio from the lovely shores of Liverpool. The bringing together of the three talented musicians – Dawn Hignett, Abby Boak and Fia Harrington – in the winter of 2016, has proven to be nothing short of destiny. The group play well-crafted, catchy pop songs, singing about love, loss and trees that hold secrets. Using their harmonious voices and dynamic musicianship, the band create a lush and vibrant sound that invites you to join them in haunted tales of modern romance and wistful dreams of the future.
Join Tom, Dawn and the Embers, and one more act to be announced, for another night of original, live music at Liverpool Acoustic’s friendly new venue.
