Liverpool Acoustic Afternoon @ 81 Renshaw 04/05/19

The Liverpool Acoustic Afternoon takes place on the first Saturday of every month through to September and features one or two booked guests with 20 minute sets sandwiched between lovely layers of open mic performers.

May’s special guests are Knotted, a pop/folk acoustic band based in Great Yarmouth. Formed in 2009, the band are celebrating the 10 year anniversary with a mini tour of the UK. Over the past ten years the band have self penned 6 studio albums and played across the country in a range of venues including theatres, small intimate venues and festivals. Heavily influenced by the likes of the beautiful South, Squeeze, Ocean Colour scene and The Beatles. Foot tapping catchy songs and plenty of sing alongs!

Our second booked guest is Paul Iwan, winner of the 2019 Liverpool Acoustic 24 Hour Songwriting Challenge at Threshold Festival.

As always this event is free. We sometimes take a collection which is divided between the booked acts and hosts, but there’s absolutely no obligation to make a donation.

This event takes place in the performance room at the back of the venue, and is open to all ages. So why not come along, grab some lunch and a drink from the front bar, and enjoy the music?

Slots for the open mic will be reserved from 12.30pm on the day only on a first come, first served basis – once they’re gone they’re gone!
