Liverpool Acoustic is delighted to welcome Visions of Albion back to the Music Room with their most ambitious project yet: a full?length tribute to Fairport Convention’s era?defining 1969 album Liege & Lief.
Widely regarded as the record that reshaped British folk music, Liege & Lief fused traditional songs with electrifying new arrangements and set the template for the UK’s emerging electric?folk movement.
Following their sold?out tributes to Carole King’s Tapestry and a rousing, full?band performance of Neil Young’s After the Gold Rush last June, Visions of Albion return to the Music Room on Saturday 16th May with two shows – 3pm and 8pm – to honour an album that continues to inspire musicians more than five decades on.
This special performance focuses entirely on the Liege & Lief album itself — its groundbreaking sound, its emotional depth, and the timeless stories woven through its traditional material.
Audiences can expect the innovative arrangements, the rich interplay of acoustic and electric textures, and the enduring spirit of the album’s original performances.
Joined by a full live band, Visions of Albion will bring the record to life with the same passion, precision, and storytelling that have defined their previous shows.
