The Merry Month of May has been officially renamed Merry Hell Month as everyone’s favourite folk rock band makes a triumphant return to the Music Room on Saturday 18th May.
The band will be presenting two shows – a laid back afternoon affair followed by a full-on evening show. And to celebrate the occasion they’re announcing two very special offers for folk fans near and far.
Double Couple Discount
The Double Couple Discount gives £8 off the price of four tickets. If you’re a couple planning on coming along, why not invite another couple and introduce them to the delights of Virgina Kettle or Merry Hell? Alternatively it doubles as a discount for a family of four. However you use it you still make a saving!
This offer can be used for both the afternoon and evening show. Simply enter the code MERRYFOUR at the checkout.
Double Show Discount
The Double Show Discount provides a lovely £6 off the total for anyone buying a ticket for both shows. There’s no code for this – the discount is applied automatically at checkout.
As you’d expect, the Double Couple and Double Show discount offers cannot be combined, so choose wisely!
But what about the shows, we hear you ask?
Afternoon show
Virginia Kettle’s Rolling Folk headline the 3pm seated show. This brand new project sees Merry Hell’s leading lady collaborate with some of her marvellous musical mates for a chilled out afternoon of folk. Support is provided by Wirral’s Jim Pearson, winner of the Liverpool Acoustic Songwriting Challenge 2023. With nine albums to his name, Jim’s music is regularly heard on BBC 6 Music.
Evening show
Merry Hell take to the stage in the evening for their all standing, all dancing, roof raising celebration of music and merriment. Expect to hear songs old and new, plus all the favourites you just have to sing along to. Opening the show at 8pm are The Jesse Janes, an energetic quartet from Ireland and Liverpool who play the (merry) hell out of acoustic, electric, and bass guitars, with mandolin, whistle, and percussion, all brought together with 4-part harmonies that are sure to knock your socks off!
Tickets
Tickets for Virginia Kettle’s Rolling Folk are £16 (unreserved seating) and Merry Hell are £18 (standing).
What could be better than a day of faboulous folk and folk rock with some of your favourite performers alongside new names you’re sure to fall in love with?
