It Takes Two is back at the Music Room on the evening of Tuesday 12th March with a brand-new line-up featuring three of Merseyside’s most exciting vocal duos, and one from North Wales!
Merseyside/Irish duo The Folk Doctors (Ultan Mulhern and John Armstrong) take to the stage for their second It Takes Two show. The pair received glowing feedback after their previous appearance. They’ll be playing songs from their debut album Silent Shores.
Limerance (Jenny Coyle and Calum Gilligan), known for their unmistakable chemistry, light-hearted chatter and lovely engagement, bring unique harmonies and beautiful lyrics via music inspired by Americana, folk and country. Limerance have played It Takes Two twice before – the first show in 2018, and the second show in 2020 alongside The Folk Doctors.
North Wales based Bau Cat (Jim Davies, Abby Butler) fill an occasional non-Merseyside It Takes Two guest spot. Originally a duo, this new band recently expanded their sound with the addition electric guitars and Jack Wells on drums. Bau Cat’s music spans psych, indie, roots and rock n roll, and cultivates a sound that sits between retro and modern.
Katie Nicholas and John Witherspoon are successful solo singer songwriters in their own right. Together as Troubadears they perform originals as well as smash hits penned by the classic songwriters of folk, rock, country and pop, showcasing their natural blend of vocals that has wowed audiences across the UK.
