Liverpool Acoustic alumnus Shadow Captain is launching his brand new album Artifacts this Friday and you’re all invited!
Artifacts is a 14 track compilation album – available to pre-order on Bandcamp – containing 12 songs from the past decade plus two brand new numbers. The album cover features a wood and stained glass sculpture by Gideon Conn and Maxine Gilbert.
The event – Shadow Captain’s first full show of the year – takes place on Friday 2nd December at Prohibition Recording Studios, a lovely, intimate venue on Arrad Street, behind the Everyman.
Shadow Captain (Stuart Todd) will be joined on stage by local musician Mark Pountney. Support on the night is provided by local favourite Only Child.
Doors open at 7.00pm with the show starting at 7.30pm. Tickets are just £8 (including booking fee) from Prohibition.
SHADOW CAPTAIN
Shadow Captain is the brainchild of Liverpool singer-songwriter and musician Stuart Todd.
After playing with guitarist Neil Campbell in the acoustic duo Campbell Todd, Stuart fronted his own group The Freebies to promote his first solo album A Question Of Time. Stuart then went on to play in Three Minute Hero before reinventing himself as Shadow Captain. Stuart also plays bass for artists Mark Pountney and Only Child.
In 2009 alongside Graham Holland, Stuart co-founded Liverpool Acoustic Live, which ran for 10 years and won Live Music Event of the Year at the Liverpool Music Awards in 2011 and 2012.
