Did you know…?
- In Sweden Wednesday is known as Little Saturday.
- The Taiwanese call Wednesday míni zhoumò which translates as mini weekend.
- The phrase hump day first appeared in North America in the 1960s before eventually making its way across the pond to Blighty.
Whatever you choose to call Wednesday to help you celebrate the fact that you’re half way to the weekend Liverpool Acoustic has teamed up with Hump Day Hideout to support their brand new open mic night.
It takes place every fortnight at the Pig & Whistle on Covent Garden (Chapel Street end) and is run by local musician Liz Owen.
The next Hump Day Hideout open mic is on Wednesday 11th February 2020. The evening gets under way at 7.00pm and runs through to 11.00pm.
All performers get a free drink, and all listeners get free music!
Musicians can request a performance slot in advance on the Facebook event page or just turn up on the night.
The best way to stay up to date is to join the Hump Day Hideout Facebook Group.
So why not come along and beat the midweek blues at the Hum Day Hideout? It’s what Wednesdays were made for!
