Duo Guitar
King & Byrne
King & Byrne (Derek King and Jenny Byrne) is an accomplished acoustic duo that perform a unique blend of Spanish/Flamenco style arrangements of well known tunes, their own original songs, together with a sprinkling of well chosen covers.
Vern & Garcia
Tom Vern & Joaquin Garcia are Vern & Garcia. This Liverpool-based songwriting duo create an original blend of 60s and 70s influenced progressive folk & rock sounds, coupled with explosive jazz and flamenco rhythms straight from the shores of Cadiz, Spain.
Vern brings psychedelic-tinged lyrics and innovative melodies better fitted to a different era, accompanied by a haunting 12-string acoustic guitar.
Garcia locks in with precision, adding extra dimensions with his electrifying flamenco rhythms on cajon.
The duo first crossed paths as recent as 2017 and quickly found that they brought something out of each other, both as songwriters and as performers. Notable influences range from Love, Pentangle, Camel and Donovan, to Paco de Lucía, Tomatito, Vicente Amigo and Chano Dominguez.
Relatively new to the music scene in Liverpool, Vern & Garcia’s following is growing exponentially.
