Hafdis Huld is one of Iceland’s biggest stars. Returning to the UK for just a handful of gigs this autumn, Hafdis will be making her highly-anticipated return to Liverpool when she plays the Music Room on Saturday 10th November 2018.
Performing songs from her highly acclaimed new album Dare to Dream Small, as well as previous releases, Hafdis delights her audiences with a mixture of storytelling songs, catchy choruses and a razor sharp line in comedy.
If you haven’t seen Hafdis Huld play live before, you’re in for an absolute treat. Iceland’s premier acoustic pop/folk singer regularly performs around the world and is a BBC 6Music favourite. With a voice as pure as glacier melt-water, her superb live show blends songs that’ll become instant favourites with hugely entertaining chat and anecdotes. This is all delivered with charm, whip-smart humour and timing that any comedian would envy. Accompanied on stage by the beautiful guitar-playing of her English husband, Alisdair Wright, this is an international act that you don’t want to miss!
Her 2017 Liverpool show sold out in record time, so be quick if you don’t want to miss out!
Opening the show will be London singer-songwriter Jake Morley who’ll be supporting Hafdis at the Music Room as part of his solo UK tour. Morley has earned a reputation for fearless live shows, particularly as one of the best lap-style guitar players in the world. Combining guitar, piano and drums into one instrument with seemingly impossible dexterity, he is an artist to be seen as well as heard.
Tickets are £14 (£17 premium) from the Liverpool Philharmonic Hall box office, and are selling fast.
