Battle of the Bands seeks 7-17 year old bands, solos and duos

Sound Affects Music are hosting a Battle of the Bands competition for bands, solos and duos aged 7-17.

The aim of our competition is to provide young, budding musicians with an opportunity to perform either covers or originals in front of a diverse audience and an expert panel of judges to build on their confidence, technique and overall performance.

There are some brilliant prizes up for grabs, including a FULL DAY recording in a professional studio, free lessons at their Ormskirk and Aintree teaching hubs and individual prizes for ‘Best Vocalist’ and ‘Best Performer’ to name a few.

The important stuff

• The competition is split into two age categories, 7-12 and 13-17
• They will be accepting bands who have at least one member who is 17 if the rest have already turned 18.
• There is an entry fee of £10 per act
• The final takes place on 22nd June in Ormskirk

Sound Affects Music are also offering mentored sessions for acts at a cost of £30 per hour with one of their expert tutors. Rehearsal facilities are also available to hire at a cost of £10 per hour.
