Local singer-songwriter Ben Paveley brings his heartfelt songs to 81 Renshaw as he headlines Liverpool Acoustic Live on the evening of Thursday 5th October 2017.
This double award-winning musical showcase normally takes place on the first Friday of each month but for one month only will be on a Thursday, do don’t miss out!
Hailing from the West Midlands Ben Paveley is, according to ACE Magazine, “Definitely an artist to watch out for.” Now living in Liverpool he has been writing, recording and performing his own music for the past seven years. Ben has played shows all around the country performing with the likes of Lucy Rose, Frances and many others. Last year he released his debut single I Tried to great success, followed more recently by his EP Live From The Nordic Church soon to be available on iTunes and Spotify. Being compared to artists such as Ben Howard and Ed Sheeran, Ben’s heartfelt songs have captured audiences everywhere.
Supporting Ben on the night will be Oliver Gosling Hughes, a young singer songwriter who has been impressing the crowds at Liverpool Acoustic’s weekly Tuesday Tunes open mic.
Completing the lineup is Preston band Works Unit Only who describe their sound as northern indie folk hybrid. We just describe them as ‘bloody good’!

What’s in a band? Well in this case the four individuals hailing from the south of Preston who make up Works Unit Only. Their music has grown out of a range of influences to create their own northern indie, folk hybrid. Acoustic driven rhythms, strong vocal melodies and plaintive, emotional lyrics combine to give Works Unit Only their distinctive sound.
