Preview: Jaywalkers at Tate Liverpool 27/08/17

Here at Liverpool Acoustic we’re know for our love of all things acoustic.

Those who’ve been to our events will know we’re not precious about the label ‘acoustic’, with previous shows having featured singer-songwriters, folk, folk-rock, blues, pop, rock, Americana, roots, and classical. Heck, we’ve even had the occasional crossover into psychedelic electronica.

So when something acoustic and exciting comes along we jump at the chance to book them, and there are few acts as exciting to hear as Jaywalkers!

Jaywalkers will be playing on Sunday 27th August 2017 in the cafe at the world-renowned Tate Liverpool as part of Folk on the Dock 2017.

Support is from local singer-songwriter Vanessa Murray.

Tickets for the show are £8, available to buy in advance from wegottickets.com or on the door. Food will be available from when the doors open at 7.00pm through to 9.00pm, and the music kicks off at 8.00pm.

Since reaching the finals of the BBC Young Folk Awards in 2008, Jaywalkers have cemented their place as one of the most exciting, virtuosic and entertaining young bands working on the British Folk scene. Effortlessly creating a unique sound based on their collective and individual musical backgrounds, the band takes influence from Folk, Bluegrass, Country and Western Swing music in the form of exciting instrumentals, three part harmony and impressive slap bass. Add good humour, tasteful arrangements and exceptional musicianship to the mix and they are guaranteed to put a smile on your face…. The music Jaywalkers create is innovative, rooted deeply in tradition, and exhilarating.
