There’s still time to catch Lizzie Nunnery‘s new play with songs – The Sum – at the Liverpool Everyman until Saturday 1st July 2017.
One of the first productions from the new Everyman Playhouse production company, The Sum is a big scale family drama written in response to austerity. It’s packed with music written by Lizzie Nunner and Vidar Norheim, and performed by Vidar and long time collaborator Martin Heslop.
“I’m a numbers person. Always have been. Give me a sum, I can do it. Give me a spreadsheet, I can balance it. And everything’s a balance: time and money and energy, work and home and sleeping and waking. Wanting and planning.”
Liverpool 2017. Eve has been doing the maths since she was a child. But when the squeeze comes, how do you balance a life that doesn’t add up and a family that refuses to read the bottom line?
