Liverpool Acoustic Newsletter – September 2016
September 2016 is upon is and brings with it lots of exciting acoustic goodness! Not only have we got the launch of the Liverpool Acoustic Songwriting Challenge but we’ve also got a charity single launch, and album launch, the visit to Liverpool of folk legend Leon Rosselson, and the return of American singer-songwriter Jesse Terry. Add in to the mix our weekly open mic and you’ll be set for the rest of the month!
LIVERPOOL ACOUSTIC OPEN MIC
Our weekly Liverpool Acoustic Open Mic continues in it’s temporary home The Baltic Social, hosted by Liverpool Acoustic’s Three Minute Hero (Stuart Todd) and K’s Choice Acoustic’s (Derek King). Don’t forget our start time is now 8.30pm, and we run through to 11.00pm. Each night features one or two booked acts alongside the open mic. Musicians wishing to reserve an open mic slot can either turn up early and add their name to the list or request a slot online by posting on the facebook event page at facebook.com/liverpoolacoustic/events

You say goodbye…
- Move along now, there’s nothing to see here.
…and I say hello, hello, hello
- Lanigans Open Mic is a new weekly open mic taking place at Lanigans Irish Bar on Ranelagh Street. It takes place every Monday from 8pm to 11.30pm and is free to attend. They have equipment to borrow, or you can bring along your own, and there’s a free drink to all who take part.
- Country Blues Shack takes place every fortnight at Peter Kavanagh’s on Egerton Street from 9pm to 11.30pm, with the next one being Tuesday 6th September. It’s a free evening of original Americana with Tom Blackwell.
All change!
- Nope, nothing here either.
