After a busy September Liverpool Acoustic has fewer events during October. But never fear, as there are plenty of other top class music nights on offer for those who enjoy supporting live music, including our first ever Halloween Special…!
LIVERPOOL ACOUSTIC OPEN MIC
@ SOUND FOOD AND DRINK
Due to circumstances beyond our control the weekly Liverpool Acoustic Open Mic is taking a short break. We’re hoping to restart on Monday 19th October if all goes to plan. Keep an eye on our facebook page for up-to-date information. facebook.com/liverpoolacoustic
When it returns it will take place every Monday at Sound Food and Drink on Duke Street. As the name suggests, the bar has a fine selection of drinks plus some of the best handmade pizza in town.
Alternate weeks are hosted by Liverpool Acoustic’s Three Minute Hero (Stuart Todd) and K’s Choice Acoustic (Derek King).
Each night starts at 8.30pm, runs through to 11.30pm, and features one or two booked acts alongside the open mic.
Musicians wishing to reserve an open mic slot can either turn up early and add their name to the list or request a slot online by posting on the facebook event page at facebook.com/liverpoolacoustic/events
WE SHALL OVERCOME
This coming Saturday 3rd October we’re running Liverpool Acoustic Presents… We Shall Overcome at Sound Food and Drink on Duke Street. It runs from 2pm to 6pm and entry is via a £3 donation or a contribution for a foodbank.

LIVERPOOL ACOUSTIC LIVE
There’s a top lineup for Liverpool Acoustic Live on Friday 23rd October 2015.
Headlining the night is local singer-songwriter Mark Pountney with his engaging brand of Scouse Americana.
Supporting Mark will be two band members playing rare solo sets.
Nick Ellis, formerly with The Maybes?, now fronts The Blue Soul and plays music described as ‘blue with purple flashes’. Nick was a big hit at the recent Above the Beaten Track festival and will be appearing at Liverpool Acoustic Live for the first time.
Paul Dunbar is the driving force behind the Unity’s Liverpool Acoustic Festival. As a musician he is more often found fronting the 6-piece soul/rock/blues outfit The Midnight Ramble. Following his successful solo stint at Above the Beaten Track (Liverpool Sound and Vision gave it 9/10) Paul will be stepping out on his own once more for his first Liverpool Acoustic Live appearance.
