March is here and it’s going to be quite a ride!
Liverpool Acoustic will be hosting ten (yes, that’s right, TEN!) events this month – that’s five open mics at Sound Food and Drink, a Liverpool Acoustic eXtra on 13th at the View Two, a stage for the second year of the Liverpool Acoustic Festival at the Unity on 20th and 21st, the return of Jon Gomm to Leaf on 26th, our regular Liverpool Acoustic Live at the View Two on 27th, and Liverpool Acoustic Afternoon at the Baltic Social on 28th for Threshold.
So fasten your seat belts, check your mirrors, turn up Mellowtone: Ten years on the CD player, and let’s go!
LIVERPOOL ACOUSTIC OPEN MIC @ SOUND FOOD AND DRINK
Liverpool Acoustic’s weekly open mic takes place every Monday at Sound Food and Drink on Duke Street. Alternate weeks are hosted by Liverpool Acoustic’s Three Minute Hero (Stuart Todd) and K’s Choice Acoustic (Derek King).
Each night starts at 8.30pm, runs through to 11.30pm, and features one or two booked acts alongside the open mic.
Musicians wishing to reserve an open mic slot can either turn up early and add their name to the list or request a slot online by posting on the facebook event page at facebook.com/liverpoolacoustic/events
PLEASE NOTE: In recent weeks our list of performers has filled up before the event so if you want to make sure you get a slot then remember to pre-book one on the facebook event page.

LIVERPOOL ACOUSTIC AFTERNOON @ THRESHOLD
Threshold returns to the Baltic Triangle for the fifth time and Liverpool Acoustic will be there again doing what we do best.
We’ve already announced the lineup and timings for the Liverpool Acoustic Afternoon @ Threshold (the press release is here) but as you’d expect from Liverpool Acoustic the lineup is suitably varied, with youngsters Eleanor Nelly and Sophie Morgan joining experienced solo performers Simon Herron, Iain Till, SheBeat, and Chris Callander, plus local group Twisted Trees. The afternoon features performers from further afield in the form of Norway’s Nora Konstanse and Glasgow’s John Rush, and the event is brought to a rousing finish with local indie pop favourites The Ragamuffins.
This all takes place from 2.00pm to 7.00pm on Saturday 28th March at the Baltic Social on Parliament Street. Entry is by Threshold day or weekend wristband available from thresholdfestival.co.uk
