ARTIST INFORMATION
ROB JONES & ROB WHITE
facebook.com/RobJonesandRobWhite
Born and based in Liverpool, England, Rob Jones (vocal/acoustic guitar) and Rob White (vocal) have been harmonising since meeting at school: well, with a few days off to watch football. When not watching football, Rob & Rob have played a lot of gigs, recorded a few songs and squeezed in the odd radio broadcast.
Recent appearances include the 2014 Above The Beaten Track, Liverpool Calling and Hope Fest festivals along with the LIMF Bandstand event in Stanley Park. In addition, two songs, Monday To Sunday and Some Other Where have recently been released on the well-received City Of Music compilation albums.
Rob Jones’ songs attempt to deal with the ups and downs of life, public transport, heartbreak and the Mersey rain-sometimes all in the same song! Reviewers have praised the well-crafted songs and the tight harmonies and have detected the influence of, amongst others, Simon & Garfunkel, The Beatles and Bob Dylan.

ELLIE ROSE SMITH

Ellie Rose Smith is an 19 year old singer-songwriter from Liverpool who’s been playing guitar for the past seven years and singing ever since she can remember. Her main influences are Fleet Foxes, Ben Howard, Kate Bush and Nina Simone.
Words are the main ingredients to Ellie’s songs along with alternative chord changes and a few vocal gymnastics thrown in. The result is interesting, relatable songs that are hopefully memorable too.

RICHIE SYRETT
richiesyrettmusic.com
Hailing from England’s North West, Richie Syrett is a Singer/Songwriter with his own distinctive and thoughtful blend of melodic Americana-flecked Folk/Rock. His style makes a grateful bow to a wide number of influences on both sides of the Atlantic so perhaps ‘Anglicana’ is a more fitting way to describe his sound.
Through biding his time, treading the boards and playing more than his fair share of dance halls and dive bars, the grace and good will of word of mouth has seen his music develop an ever growing and impressive fan base with previous independent releases selling strongly, reaching far shores and receiving high praise.
Since his last release ‘Good Morning Midnight’, Richie assembled together a band of seasoned, likeminded musicians and retreated to the studio to record a batch of songs for a new album scheduled for release towards the end of this year. With a new EP already in the pipeline and a host of exciting live dates in the diary, 2015 is shaping up to be an eventful year for all concerned.
“Almost perfect, the future looks very bright indeed! 9/10”
– Americana UK
“The songs sound like AltCountry classics you should have known for about forty years One of the most promising singer songwriters we’ve heard in years”
– Heaven Magazine

MONDAY BLACKBIRDS

Monday Blackbirds is a brand new band from Madrid. Their style goes from classic pop and rock to the most modern indie sounds. With a big influence of bands like Arctic Monkeys, The Strokes and Franz Ferdinand and their own distinct sound they are achieving a good reputation in the musical scene of Madrid.
Their first and eponymous EP, produced by Alfonso Mercado, was released September 2014 and contains five songs each with the characteristic sound of Monday Blackbirds. Their first single Where Is Johnny? with its own video and its infectious beat is a big hit and is chanted by the crowds in all their concerts.

If you get the chance, please support your local artists by joining their mailing lists, liking their facebook pages, following them on twitter, leaving them comments, going to their gigs, and buying their music direct from them where possible. The theme music is King of the Faeries by Andrew Ellis from his CD Midnight On The Water.
