There’s another course starting this month that goes hand in hand with the songwriting course we told you about last week (click here to read all about it).
Gerry Murphy’s The Art and Craft of the Acoustic Guitar is a 10 week course that introduces students to the history and development of the instrument, and helps them to identify its components and mechanisms. Other sessions cover tuning, playing basic scales, identifying chord structures, strumming patterns, tablature, and performance.
No previous knowledge is required, although familiarity of music and the ability to play another instrument is useful.
