Some of you may remember last year The Philharmonic and The Caledonia joined forces to run an Americana Festival across the two venues. With the current closure of The Phil for redevelopment The Cally, one of the best little music venues around, has pulled out all the stops to present the Caledonia Americana Festival 2014.
Running for eight days from Sunday 20th to Sunday 27th July, the festival sees the Catharine Street pub play host to fine American and American-inspired music from around the world with gigs and workshops featuring bluegrass blues, cajun, country, folk, R’n’B, Rock n Roll, roots, soul, western swing, and more.
The music is all washed down with a selection of American craft beers and American-inspired drinks, plus boss burgers, art, literature and dance.
The full programme is listed below and can be found on facebook here. Keep checking back on facebook for last minute changes and additions. All gigs are free, although there are charges for some of the workshops.
