Cathryn Craig is from Virginia, USA, and has built a strong reputation as both performer and songwriter. She has sung with Chet Atkins, The Righteous Brothers, Shel Silverstein and Jorma Kaukonen. Cathryn’s family is steeped in music – her great-grandfather Jacob Sowder was recorded by Cecil Sharp and is featured in Sharp’s book English Folk Songs From The Southern Appalachians.
Brian Willoughby is best known for his virtuoso performances on electric and acoustic guitar, with progressive folk/rock band Strawbs. He has also played with Mary Hopkin, Joe Brown, New World, Roger Whittaker, Bridget St. John, Jim Diamond and Monty Python.
Both Cathryn and Brian have accompanied Nanci Griffith.
Their Alice’s Song was an Aled Jones highlight of the year on BBC Radio 2.
Cathryn was Simon Mayo’s star guest on BBC Radio 2Day, live from Nashville.
Real World is the current album, featuring live studio recordings of strong Craig/Willoughby compositions.

JOE TOPPING
joetoppingmusic.com
Joe Topping is a singer-songwriter and guitarist who has been described as a “cross between Ry Cooder, Woody Guthrie and Paul Brady”. From the traditional music heard in the folk clubs he grew up around to the Americana and blues influences from his adventures in the USA which have included living in a pickup truck and driving around America for the best part of a year and later walking 1400 miles with a guitar on his back from Chicago to New Orleans!
Joe has developed his own unique bottleneck guitar style which he employs in many of his original songs and has a voice that can move from velvet soft to steely and powerful. Joe has played on stage and in the studio with many legends of the British folk scene including members of Fairport Convention, While and Matthews, Andy Irvine and most recently as stand in lead vocalist in the BBC2 award winning “Best live Act” Home Service whilst John Tams recovered from surgery.
Joe also currently plays in the bands Elbow Jane and The Rainbow Chasers (with Ashley Hutchings).
