LIVERPOOL ACOUSTIC SONGWRITING CHALLENGE
SHOWCASE FINAL
Liverpool Acoustic Live this month is the Showcase Final for the Liverpool Acoustic Songwriting Challenge. Now in it’s third year this event continues to impress with the high level of inventiveness and song craft from our local songwriters.
The Showcase Final takes place at the View Two Gallery on the evening of Friday 22nd November 2013. This year eleven finalists will perform their song with an image of the work of art that inspired it projected onto the wall behind them for the audience to see.
Tickets are available in advance for £5 from wegottickets.com/liverpoolacoustic
The last two years the tickets sold out within a week being placed on sale, so if you want to attend you’ll need to book your place as soon as possible.
Please note if the online tickets sell out there will be no entry on the night for anyone who hasn’t bought their ticket in advance.
All money raised on the night will be split between Marie Curie Cancer Care in Woolton and Garston Animal Rescue, in memory of Liverpool Acoustic team member Sharon Jones.
Doors open at the earlier time of 7.30pm, with the event starting at 8.00pm.

REMEMBERING AMANDA DeANGELES
Earlier this year we were saddened to hear of the untimely passing of Amanda DeAngeles after a long and brave fight with cancer. Amanda was well known as a talented poet, author and writer, and a vocal supporter of the local creative scene. Above that she was a lovely, warm person who is missed terribly by her family and friends.
Some of Amanda’s friends have decided to get together to remember and celebrate her life with an evening of poetry and acoustic music. It’s taking place at the View Two Gallery on Friday 29th November.
We will let you have more details closer to the time, although we can confirm that TJ & Murphy will be performing along with other musicians and poets.
