Two cracking gigs coming up courtesy of our friends over at Mellowtone.
Beth Jeans Houghton and the Hooves of Destiny are coming to town on Tuesday 21st February and can be seen at Eric’s on Mathew Street. They’ll be performing their unique blend of psychedelic glam rock and chain gang folk, as heard on their splendid debut album ‘Yours Truly, Cellophane Nose’.
Support is from Birmingham’s Dylan- and Young-inspired Goodnight Lenin, former Little Flame Eva Petersen, and Beaten Track DJs.
Doors open at 8pm, and tickets are £9 from here.
Blackpool-based 18 year old singer-songwriter Rae Morris has recently signed to Atlantic Records, and kicks off her February tour at Leaf on Bold Street this Thursday 23rd February. With a maturity well beyond her years, and an inimitable voice, this young star is not to be missed.
Support is from Guardian Records’ local favourite Dave O’Grady, and the insightful lyrics and intricate arrangements of Thomas J Speight. Not forgetting Beaten Tracks DJs Richie Vegas and Jonnie O’Hare.
Doors for this open at 8pm, and tickets are £5 from here.
