November 2011: Songwriting Challenge preview

LIVERPOOL ACOUSTIC VIEW TWO
SONGWRITING CHALLENGE

SHOWCASE EVENT PREVIEW

FRIDAY 11TH NOVEMBER 2011

Friday 11th November is the date for the Liverpool Acoustic View Two Songwriting Challenge Showcase Event

Songwriters from across the region took up the challenge by choosing a work of art from the walls of the View Two Gallery on Mathew Street and writing a song inspired by it. At the showcase event they’ll each perform their song in public for the first time, with an image of it projected on the wall behind them for the audience to see. At the end of the night the judges will announce the winner, and the audience members will get to vote for their favourite too.

The judges are local musician and songwriter
Stephen Langstaff, and owner of Crosstown Studios, Jon Lawton.

The two winners as chosen by the judges and the audience will get the chance to record their song at Crosstown Studios, and have a video made at the same time.

Tickets are £5 on the door and in advance from wegottickets.com/liverpoolacoustic

All proceeds are being split between Marie Curie Cancer Care and Garston Animal Rescue in memory of Liverpool Acoustic team member Sharon Jones who died in May this year.

Doors open at the earlier time of 6.45pm with the event starting at 7.15pm
