Liverpool Acoustic Live rounds off the year in style this Friday 17th December with the Christmas Party featuring five acts for the price of four!
Performing at our party will be Jollyboat, Alun Parry, Stuart Anthony’s Long Lost Band, Jessica’s Ghost, and Graham Holland.
- Jollyboat bring their fun-filled frolicking pirate show to the View Two off the back of a four star review at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Prepare to splice the mainbrace and shiver the ole’ timbers. Aaarrr!
- Alun Parry is a mainstay of the local music scene, and earlier this year launched his successful Woody Guthrie Folk Club in addition to forming a new group called Rich Man’s Ruin. However, Alun’s flying solo for the Christmas party, so prepare for some new songs amongst the classics.
- Stuart Anthony’s Long Lost Band lived up to their name when they broke down on the motorway and couldn’t make it to the Bluecoat gig this summer. Hopefully they won’t have the same problems again as we’re really looking forward to hearing them play.
- Jessicas Ghost have recently finished recording their second album and are itching to perform their infectious brand of folky pop at Liverpool Acoustic Live for the first time.
- Graham Holland is the man behind the Liverpool Acoustic website and the co-organiser of the live event. Once a year he brushes off his guitar to entertain the masses and his Mum. Come along and bring your Christmas party hat, and get into the spirit of the season.
Tickets are £4 in advance from wegottickets.com/event/98663 and £5 on the door.
Doors open at 8.00pm and the music runs from 8.30pm to 11.15pm. And don’t forget there’s a fully licensed bar!.
Deyes High School in Maghul, in association with Mad Bouncy Dogs, is looking for singers with backing tracks and acoustic artists/groups who want to perform to about 200 students (ages 11-18) for about 30 mins during lunchtime about 12.30 – 100pm. (No drummers please. Setup time is very limited)
They’ll provide a full PA and stage lighting plus promotion around the school.
The plan is to do this once a week starting in the new year.
Anyone interested in playing can contact Nigel Paice on 07890 456 258 or email nigelpaice[at]gmail.com
