Fresh from a great set at last month’s Liverpool Acoustic Live, Jo Bywater will be launching her debut acoustic album on Thursday 9th December at Mello Mello on Slater Street. The event kicks off at 8.30pm and is free, and this is what Jo has to say about it…
The sheer excitement, I can’t contain myself!
Nearly three years of pent up desire to get a great-looking and sounding acoustic album professional style with my most recent and a couple of older tunes out there into the world has arrived. Perfectly in time for my birthday (I’m not suggesting you buy me my own cd, I’ll have enought copies to look at!) and Christmas, it keeps me warm even though i can see my own breath inside!
This evening for me is about celebrating and bringing the year to a close with a smile on mine and your (when you buy the cd:)) faces.
I am joined by two very talented friends.
- Opening the night will be Ann Marie Howard: fantastic mellow rock-infused tasty chord changes metaphorical visual poetic acoustic artist. Amazing voice. Music that will put you in a trance. reverbnation.com/annemariehoward
- Second up will be the video preview to my song ‘WAVE’ that we shot in Vinyl on Lark Lane and Sefton Park…..yes the park…no i couldn’t feel my fingers after 5 minutes! Video’d/edited by Elaine Kinsella secret creative whizz kid of many things. Also very appreciatedly assisted by Lindsey Stainthorpe!
- Thirdly: Helen Keeler will be providing us with a more than welcome break of stand-up comedy. This lady is also multi-talented and will be keeping us warm with our own laughter and pummeled with wit! www.helenkeeler.com
- At 10pm and last but definitely not least (even if i do say it myself) Me, Jo Bywater! www.jobywater.com 45 minutes of pure self-indulgent, entertaining, refreshingly original, passionate and very very happy you’re all going to be there to share this with me!
See you all on Thursday!
Jo
