We said in previous posts that we’d fill you in on the new events that have been added to the Liverpool Acoustic Diary in recent weeks. So here are two more.
And who would have thought that the Liverpool district of Walton would turn out to be such a hotbed of acoustic music? [Well, maybe not quite a hot bed – more like a cosy bed with a hot water bottle in it.]
The Walton Social Club Acoustic Night is the first of the two Walton-based events.
This is an open mic night, featuring folk, country, rock, and original music.
It takes place every Thursday from 8.30pm to 11.30pm and can be found in the upstairs room
The event is run by Carol and Sunny, and you can get more information by phoning the club on 0151 525 2626

Walton Music Club proudly states that it is “the home for music enthusiasts in Liverpool”. I suppose we’ll have to visit to see if they’re boasts are idle or not.
The club features a wide range of music, including bluegrass, soul, folk, R’n’B, traditional, standards, pop, jazz…
Everyone is welcome, whether you’re going along to play, sing or just listen.
Sessions take place at the County Ward Labour Club, 39 Hale Road, Liverpool L4 3RL [Google map]
What’s more, there are TWO sessions every week – Friday at 8.45pm, and Sunday at 8.30pm
