The good folk of Manchester’s new WomenFolk group are extending the long arm of friendship along the M62 and inviting Liverpool’s music-making women folk to join them for their inaugural meeting.
What is WomenFolk?
It’s a supportive community for women making acoustic and roots-based music
What do they do?
• Networking – song-swapping – workshops – showcases – promotion
• Provide a meeting place for WomenFolk seeking companionship and support.
• Foster discussion of all aspects of music making, marketing, promotion, and sales.
• Provide songwriting critiques/workshops led by WomenFolk members.
• Strategically promote events and celebrate the music of WomenFolk members and friends.
