Last year Bobhowla made a welcome return to the music scene with the terrific single ‘Sail Down The Water’, which was celebrated with a well-received launch at 81 Renshaw. The group is the brainchild of Southport resident Howard Doupe, who has hosted his own music events at The Zanzibar and View Two Gallery.

The new single ‘Midnight Fears’ is taken from their forthcoming album ‘Everything’s Wrong, But It’s Alright’ and has been receiving airplay on BBC Music Introducing and various other radio stations.

The track was recorded in Edinburgh with Rod Jones (of Idlewild) and has a melodic shoegaze feel to it. Atmospheric piano lines and Howard’s assured vocal characterise what is a tight contemporary sound and full production that is first rate.

‘Midnight Fears’ by Bobhowla is a major release that should serve as a strong taster for the new album.
