Discover the sound of Flamenco Fusion with Duo Guitar at the Music Room this Sunday

Duo Guitar

Liverpool Acoustic presents Flamenco Fusion, an exciting evening of contemporary and traditional music inspired by the Spanish guitar. Headline act Duo Guitar (Ben Bruant and Will Cashel) wowed the audiences at Folk on the Dock 2018 with their energy, synergy and incredible talent.

La Havre-born Ben and Bath native Will met and formed Duo in 2011 while studying at the Royal Academy of Music in London. Together they have recorded three albums of electrifying flamenco-inspired arrangements of pop and classical tracks from around the world.

Ben and Will will be supported on the night by popular local duo King & Byrne, plus special guests Vern & Garcia.

For lovers of the flamenco style, or just lovers of great music, this is a show not to be missed!

Tom Vern & Joaquin Garcia are Vern & Garcia. This Liverpool-based songwriting duo create an original blend of 60s and 70s influenced progressive folk & rock sounds, coupled with explosive jazz and flamenco rhythms straight from the shores of Cadiz, Spain.

Vern brings psychedelic-tinged lyrics and innovative melodies better fitted to a different era, accompanied by a haunting 12-string acoustic guitar.

Garcia locks in with precision, adding extra dimensions with his electrifying flamenco rhythms on cajon.

The duo first crossed paths as recent as 2017 and quickly found that they brought something out of each other, both as songwriters and as performers. Notable influences range from Love, Pentangle, Camel and Donovan, to Paco de Lucía, Tomatito, Vicente Amigo and Chano Dominguez.

Relatively new to the music scene in Liverpool, Vern & Garcia’s following is growing exponentially.
