Thanks to everyone who came down to support Derek King’s album launch last month at the View Two Gallery. We’ve got another album launch in September with John Jenkins supporting Josh Harty, and tickets are selling fast. Tickets are also available for our special 50 Years of Revolver show at Leaf on Friday 5th August, 50 years to the day since The Beatles launched their genre-bending album. Host Roxanne de Bastion will be joined by a collection of special guests to perform the album in full, and we’ll be announcing who’s taking part in the next few weeks. LIVERPOOL ACOUSTIC OPEN MIC
Our weekly Liverpool Acoustic Open Mic continues in it’s temporary home The Baltic Social, hosted by Liverpool Acoustic’s Three Minute Hero (Stuart Todd) and K’s Choice Acoustic’s (Derek King). We’ve recently reverted back to our original start time of 8.30pm, and run through to 11.00pm. Each night features one or two booked acts alongside the open mic. Musicians wishing to reserve an open mic slot can either turn up early and add their name to the list or request a slot online by posting on the facebook event page at facebook.com/liverpoolacoustic/events
LIVERPOOL ACOUSTIC LIVE
– featuring Joe Symes & the Loving Kind
We’re back to our regular fourth Friday for this month’s Liverpool Acoustic Live. It’s taking place on Friday 22nd July and features the return of popular local group Joe Symes & the Loving Kind.
Preston’s Susie Jones is supporting on what is set to be another great night of original, live music at the View Two Gallery.
Advance tickets for the night from wegottickets.com/liverpoolacoustic are £5 (+50p). Entry on the door on the night is our regular £6.
Doors open at 7.45pm and the music kicks off at 8.15pm.

We’re back at Thornton Hough Village Club & Bar for another slice of local acoustic talent that we’re choosing to call our Summer Sizzler.

- The weekly Spotlight event at Milo Lounge on Lark Lane is no longer taking place. Thanks to the venue for letting us know 🙂
…and I say hello
- The Rolling Stone Folk and Blues Club started last month. Hosted by Joe Topping and starting at 8.30pm this is a open floor event on the last Tuesday of the month at the Farmers Arms in Frankby. More details can be found on Facebook at facebook.com/Thefarmersarmsfrankby
- Also in Wirral, the Shrew Acoustic Unplugged is a new open floor taking place every Tuesday at the Shrewsbury Arms in Oxton Village. Hosted by Phil Chisnall and John Williams, this weekly event runs from 9.00pm to 11.00pm.
- There’s a new, weekly open mic night at The Crown on Lime Street. It runs every Thursday from 6.00pm to 11.30pm and everyone is welcome. You can find out more by visiting facebook.com/thecrownliverpool

As the summer rolls on and the weather brightens up it’s an ideal opportunity to get out of the house and track down some live music. Why not support your nearest open mic?
