Liverpool Acoustic Newsletter – April 2016
Wow! A huge thank you to everyone who came along to last month’s Liverpool Acoustic Festival. The feedback we received was overwhelmingly positive, a testament to the high quality of the performances and the hard work of the festival team. We’re already looking at how to make next year’s Liverpool Acoustic Festival even better and if you have any ideas we’d love to hear them.
April 2016 sees four main events for Liverpool Acoustic, plus changes to our weekly open mic. See below for more details on all of these. In addition there is a superb selection of other events which you’re invited to get along to and support.
LIVERPOOL ACOUSTIC OPEN MIC
– Important Update
Sound Food and Drink, the home of our our weekly Liverpool Acoustic Open Mic, will be closing next month for a full refurbishment. The whole of the ground floor is due to be remodelled, and a large performance area is set to be created in the basement. The changes sound really exciting and we can’t wait to see the finished product.
The final open mic at Sound Food and Drink before the temporary closure will be on Monday 4th April, hosted by Liverpool Acoustic’s Three Minute Hero (Stuart Todd) and K’s Choice Acoustic’s (Derek King).
This night starts at 8.30pm, runs through to 11.30pm, and features one or two booked acts alongside the open mic. Musicians wishing to reserve an open mic slot can either turn up early and add their name to the list or request a slot online by posting on the facebook event page at facebook.com/liverpoolacoustic/events
We’re eager for this popular weekly Monday night event to continue during the closure of Sound Food and Drink and we’re currently looking for an alternative venue. Once we have any news on this we’ll let you know on facebook and twitter.
LIVERPOOL ACOUSTIC AFTERNOON
at Threshold Festival 2016
