May is here, and with it comes another batch of tasty live acoustic events for you to wrap your musical chops around. In addition to our weekly open mic and our regular Liverpool Acoustic Live we’re also taking part in Light Night for the first time with our friends from Acoustic Dustbowl. Why not come along and say hi?
LIVERPOOL ACOUSTIC OPEN MIC
@ SOUND FOOD AND DRINK
Liverpool Acoustic’s weekly open mic takes place every Monday at Sound Food and Drink on Duke Street. Alternate weeks are hosted by Liverpool Acoustic’s Three Minute Hero (Stuart Todd) and K’s Choice Acoustic (Derek King).
Each night starts at 8.30pm, runs through to 11.30pm, and features one or two booked acts alongside the open mic.
The Open Mic on Monday 4th May follows directly on from the Save The Lomax fundraiser.
Musicians wishing to reserve an open mic slot can either turn up early and add their name to the list or request a slot online by posting on the facebook event page at facebook.com/liverpoolacoustic/events
LIGHT NIGHT @ THE VIEW TWO GALLERY
We’re joining forces with our friends at Acoustic Dustbowl to bring Light Night to Mathew Street’s View Two Gallery for the first time.
It’s taking place on Friday 15th May, and the music will be in the third floor performance area from 6.00pm to 10.00pm. This event is FREE ENTRY.
The theme for this year’s Light Night is The New World and interpreting this in their own way will be musical guests Iain Till, Mark Pountney, Adam Danger Lewis, and more to be confirmed closer to the time.

LIVERPOOL ACOUSTIC LIVE
Liverpool Acoustic Live takes place on Friday 22nd May 2015 at our home on Mathew Street, the View Two Gallery.
Back in April 2010 we held a LIPA special with some of the students graduating that year. On the bill were Rosie Jones and the Mystery Machine, and Zoe Nicol and the Worry Dolls. Along with Tina Refnes and Rachel Wright, this was a special night indeed.
Five years have passed and during that time the two red-headed singers Rosie and Zoe have joined forces to form Worry Dolls, and it gives us great pleasure to welcome them back to the View Two Gallery.
Supporting Rosie and Zoe will be touring guest from Bishop’s Stortford, Andy Bayly, talented youngster Katy Galloway, and local favourite Ste Neildsy.
Tickets are available now in advance for £5.00 (+50p booking fee) from wegottickets.com/liverpoolacoustic or for £6 on the door on the night.
Doors open at our regular time of 7.45pm with the music starting at 8.15pm sharp.
You can join the facebook event at facebook.com/liverpoolacoustic/events
All of our future live events can be found at liverpoolacoustic.co.uk/live and if you want to receive information about tickets before they go on general sale then sign up to our events publicity mailing list here.
