Last night Liverpool Acoustic’s Graham Holland and Stuart Todd attended the awards ceremony at St George’s Hall for the Liverpool Music Awards 2013, and walked away with the award for Live Music Night of the Year for the second year running.
The award was presented by Paul Rutherford (Frankie Goes to Hollywood) who flew in from New Zealand to attend the event, and Steph Corcoran from the category’s sponsor Hotel Indigo.
We would like to thank everyone who has supported us over the past year, and everyone who voted for us – your support made all the difference.
We must thank:-
Ken Martin, the owner of the View Two Gallery, the best acoustic venue in the city
Roger Tolley, head of our door team, and our biggest supporter
Nicola and Rich Denton (Liverpool Live), Peter Guy (Getintothis), Jade Wright (Liverpool Echo), Roger Hill and Dave Monks (BBC Radio Merseyside)
Billy Butler (BBC Radio Merseyside) for featuring lots of our musicians on his shows and for helping us support the young musicians coming through
All the fantastic musicians who’ve played for us over the past year

Liverpool Acoustic – Live Music Night of the Year 2013
Liverpool Acoustic is the only website of its kind in the UK. It was founded by Graham Holland in April 2008 as a central resource for the vibrant and exciting acoustic music scene in Liverpool and the Greater Merseyside area. The website publishes news from the local acoustic music scene, previews of upcoming events, reviews of music releases and gigs, and the Liverpool Acoustic Spotlight podcast. This content is available for free via email subscription. The diary lists acoustic events including festivals, theatre concerts, folk clubs, showcases and open mic nights.
