The Liverpool Acoustic Afternoon returns to the View Two Gallery on Saturday 8th June 2013.
From 1.00pm to 4.00pm we’ve got three booked acts plus our popular open mic.
Our booked acts are
1pm – Derek King – local singer-songwriter and host of K’s Choice every Wednesday at the American Bar & Grill on Renshaw Street
2pm – Rachel Nicholas – composer, singer, pianist and viola player who studied at Birmingham Conservatoire before discovering songwriting. Rachel will be performing on the View Two’s grand piano.
3pm – Matthew McGurty – folk and blues artist from Runcorn
The open mic slots are 10 minutes each, and are available on the day on a first come, first served basis. The open mic has proven to be very popular, so musicians should arrive early to avoid disappointment.
This event is FREE and is perfect for the family on a Saturday afternoon. The bar will be open serving tea, coffee, soft drinks, plus alcohol.
Liverpool Acoustic is the only website of its kind in the UK. It was founded by Graham Holland in April 2008 as a central resource for the vibrant and exciting acoustic music scene in Liverpool and the Greater Merseyside area. The website publishes news from the local acoustic music scene, previews of upcoming events, reviews of music releases and gigs, and the Liverpool Acoustic Spotlight podcast. This content is available for free via email subscription. The diary lists acoustic events including festivals, theatre concerts, folk clubs, showcases and open mic nights.
