Local singer/songwriter Lizzie Nunnery has been a busy girl this year.
Not only has she launched her excellent debut album Company of Ghosts (review here), performed at the Liverpool Philharmonic Hall for the Liverpool Irish Festival’s Irish Sea Sessions (review here, and jetted off to South America to run international workshops, she’s also found time to film some videos ‘neath the Victorian splendour of the recently refurbished bandstand in Sefton Park.
The Bandstand Session videos were filmed by Liverpool video artist Sam Meech and are available on Lizzie’s YouTube channel youtube.com/user/lizzienunnery
Why not check them out when you’ve got a quiet moment over the Christmas holidays, and subcribe to her channel while you’re there?
Liverpool Acoustic is the only website of its kind in the UK. It was founded by Graham Holland in April 2008 as a central resource for the vibrant and exciting acoustic music scene in Liverpool and the Greater Merseyside area. The website publishes news from the local acoustic music scene, previews of upcoming events, reviews of music releases and gigs, and the Liverpool Acoustic Spotlight podcast. This content is available for free via email subscription. The diary lists acoustic events including festivals, theatre concerts, folk clubs, showcases and open mic nights.
