“Snow is falling all around us. Children playing, having fun. It’s the season – love and understanding. Merry Christmas everyone.” Apt words there from one of our greatest living philosophers, S Stevens.
What Shaky failed to point out, however, is that it’s also the season for Liverpool Acoustic to take a well-earned break. So we’ll be back on New Year’s Day with January’s newsletter, but not before we’ve treated you to our new ‘Opinion’ feature which you’ll find popping up on Tuesday 28th December. Be sure to check it out and let us know what you think.
And don’t forget, if you’re heading out to any of the events in the Liverpool Acoustic diary then do check beforehand to see if they’re still due to take place. It’s not just the TV schedules that are all over the place at Christmas!
Liverpool Acoustic is the only website of its kind in the UK. It was founded by Graham Holland in April 2008 as a central resource for the vibrant and exciting acoustic music scene in Liverpool and the Greater Merseyside area. The website publishes news from the local acoustic music scene, previews of upcoming events, reviews of music releases and gigs, and the Liverpool Acoustic Spotlight podcast. This content is available for free via email subscription. The diary lists acoustic events including festivals, theatre concerts, folk clubs, showcases and open mic nights.
