32 world beers and rebel folk music – a perfect combination!

The monthly Woody Guthrie Folk Club takes place this coming Thursday 24th June and there’s an added incentive for going along this month.

In the spirit of international friendship the Ship and Mitre Pub is supporting the FIFA World Cup by holding a ‘World Cup Of Beer’ Festival!

For sale will be one beer to represent each of the 32 nations taking part. In the small number of cases where it’s not been possible to get a beer from a country (do you know how hard it is to buy the fabled Kim Jong-il IPA outside of North Korea?) they have substituted it with a beer from a neighbouring(ish) country.

And for those true-blooded English men and women with a particularly hightened sense of patriotic pride the Hornbeam Brewery has brewed the Ship and Mitre’s very own Three Lions Ale which is available during the tournament for a specially creative price of £1.966

Doors open at 7.30pm and the music runs from 8.00pm to 10.30pm.
