July marks the middle of the lazy, hazy, crazy days of summer, and we've got plenty of lazy, hazy, crazy live music events to look forward to this month.
Liverpool Acoustic's weekly open mic takes place every Monday at Sound Food and Drink on Duke Street. Alternate weeks are hosted by Liverpool Acoustic's Three Minute Hero (Stuart Todd) and K's Choice Acoustic (Derek King).
Each night starts at 8.30pm, runs through to 11.30pm, and features one or two booked acts alongside the open mic. Monday 6th July features Rob Clarke and Joel Havea visiting from Melbourne, Australia.
Musicians wishing to reserve an open mic slot can either turn up early and add their name to the list or request a slot online by posting on the facebook event page at facebook.com/liverpoolacoustic/events
Liverpool Acoustic Live sees a headline slot from visiting musician Louise Jordan who was recognised in the FATEA Awards for her debut album. Support on Friday 24th July at the View Two Gallery is from Chris Callander fresh from the launch of his new album, Moss & Jones fresh from the launch of their new album (there must be something in the air!), and an opening set from young Esme Higgins.
Tickets are available now in advance for £5.00 (+50p booking fee) from wegottickets.com/liverpoolacoustic or for £6 on the door on the night.
Doors open at our regular time of 7.45pm with the music starting at 8.15pm sharp.

Liverpool Acoustic Calling takes place on the afternoon of Saturday 25th July at the Sound Food and Drink on Duke Street from 1.00pm to 5.00pm. It's part of the Liverpool Calling festival and is free to attend.
Hosted by K's Choice's Derek King and Liverpool Acoustic's Three Minute Hero, the afternoon features sets from Andy Bellis, David James Robertson, Little Bird [Australia], Jonathan Coley, Kim Jennett, The Resurrection Men, Ellie Rose Smith, and the two hosts too.

Liverpool Acoustic are joining forces with the Featured Artist Coalition - FAC - to host a drop-in session at the View Two Gallery on the evening of Wednesday 29th July.
The drop-in sessions give up-and-coming musicians the opportunity to chat with an established artist and FAC member about the music industry in an informal, friendly setting.
Previous drop-in sessions in London have featured Ed O'Brien (Radiohead), Sandie Shaw and Dan Le Sac.
The event is free, but availability is limited. To be considered, please RSVP on the Facebook event page and sign up to the FAC (that too is free!): www.thefac.org
The evening will end with live music which will be free to all. More details soon.
