SUMMARY:Keep The Music Going ft The Mono LPs and Rob Jones & Rob White @ Pierre Griffes 26/10/22
DESCRIPTION:Rob Gough Promotions in association with Liverpool Acoustic are proud to announce that Keep The Music Going will take place on 26thth October at Pierre Griffes on Allerton Road. \n\n\n\nFeaturing in this show are the superb Mono LPs and the brilliant acoustic-duo\, Rob Jones and Rob White. \n\n\n\nChampioned by BBC Introducing and 6 Music\, The Mono LPs are considered one of Liverpool’s brightest prospects and a genre-bending tour de force. \n\n\n\nThe Mono LPs showcase juicy guitar riffs\, intricate T-Rex like swooping strings\, sexually charged lyrics and an uncompromising energy. The offbeat four-piece have established themselves as a group of major significance on the scene through their impressive work ethic and a dedication to an ever-expanding fan base of ‘Monettes’. \n\n\n\nTheir latest album\, Shuffle/Play was released in 2021 via Fretsore Records to critical acclaim and showcases a deliberately diverse range of skill and genre. The album features the latest single “Think About It”\, fan-favourite “Hell\, Save My Soul” and playlist-supported “Love Me”. \n\n\n\nThe group is fronted by singer-songwriter Ste Reid and cellist Vicky Reid\, who has performed with both The View and Blood Red Shoes on their last albums. You’ll feel the cello riffing its way through a barrage of sound. This is a rock ‘n’ roll band at full pelt. Grounded in making music they love and loving the music they make\, The Mono LPs are riding high and continue to engage and surprise their ever-growing fanbase. \n\n\n\n“The Mono LP’s try their hand at psychedelia\, jazz\, 70s rock\, The Beatles\, electronica and 80s Britpop\, and never let the standards slip. It’s a fun album – just remember to put it on shuffle and surprise yourself over and over again.”4/5 The Daily Express \n\n\n\n“Catchy and well written\, with great use of strings and electronica melded throughout.”Wall of Sound \n\n\n\n“Shuffle/Play is not only a phenomenal album\, but it is one that charms and makes you want to forget everything else you have lined up that day\, for what else is there to do but spend time with the best.”5/5 Liverpool Sound And Vision \n\n\n\n“A very enjoyable album and an array of (deliberately) differing moods.”Rocking Magpie \n\n\n\nBorn and based in Liverpool\, Rob Jones (vocal/acoustic guitar) & Rob White (vocal) have been harmonising since meeting at school. Over the ensuing years\, Rob & Rob have played a lot of gigs\, recorded a few songs\, squeezed in the odd radio broadcast and have become regulars at Liverpool Acoustic events. Rob Jones’ songs attempt to deal with the ups and downs of life\, Lark Lane\, public transport\, heartbreak\, The Monkees and the Mersey rain-sometimes all in the same song. Reviewers have praised the well-crafted songs and the tight harmonies and have detected the influence of\, amongst others\, Simon & Garfunkel and The Beatles. \n\n\n\n“The harmonies\, of which Simon and Garfunkel would be proud\, are beautiful but with a generous sprinkle of Merseyside realism; the effect of the combination is just something to behold.”IAN D. HALL (Liverpool Sound & Vision) \n\n\n\nTickets are just £5 and available on Eventbrite. \n\n\n\nBrought to you by Rob Gough Promotions\, in association with Liverpool Acoustic\, Keep The Music Going\, will be a series of shows all about music and supporting up and coming songwriters and musicians whilst also featuring established performers along the way. \n\n\n\nDuring this series of gigs every effort will be made to keep ticket prices affordable so that everyone has the opportunity to enjoy live music. \n\n\n\nThis session takes place on Wednesday 12th October 2022 at Pierre Griffes Cafe Bar & Bistro on Allerton Road in Liverpool. Tickets cost just £5 and are available to buy on Eventbrite. Doors open at 7pm with the music beginning at 8pm.
