DESCRIPTION:The Liverpool Acoustic Afternoon returns to the View Two Gallery for the final time this year on Saturday 10th September. \nAs always\, open mic slots will be available to request beforehand on the facebook event page\, or on the day if there are any spaces left. \nThe afternoon also sees the launch of the single Someday We’ll See Better Days by the Liverpool Acoustic Collective. John Jenkins will be joined on the day by a selection of the artists who played or sang on the single\, and CD copies will be available to buy with all profits going to the Whitechapel Centre. \nThe View Two Gallery is open from 12.00pm to 5.00pm\, with the music running from 1.00pm to 4.00pm. \n \nRunning at the same time as the Liverpool Acoustic Afternoon is the launch of the Liverpool Acoustic Songwriting Challenge 2016. \nBack for its sixth year\, the Liverpool Acoustic Songwriting Challenge challenges songwriters to write a new song inspired by a work of art on display at the View Two Gallery. \nFull details can be found at challenge.liverpoolacoustic.co.uk \n  \n  \nLiverpool Acoustic Afternoon & Liverpool Acoustic Collective single launch 10/09/16
