DESCRIPTION:Rob Gough Promotions are proud to announce Keep The Music Going will take place on Wednesday 1st March 2023 at Pierre Griffes on Allerton Road in Liverpool. \n\n\n\nThis co-headline show will feature Dave O’Grady\, Jake Hawkes and Tom George. \n\n\n\nDave O’Grady is the founding member of Americana Roots band Seafoam Green – a glorious mix of rock and roll\, soul\, blues and gospel. O’Grady has recorded with members of The Black Crowes\, Tedeschi Trucks and The Rolling Stones\, as well as sharing the stage with iconic pop stars such as Ringo Starr\, Seal and Bon Jovi. \n\n\n\nJake Hawkes (aka Dunce Cap Jack) is a singer/ songwriter and general bard who grew up in a Buddest temple in Essex. He writes songs daily\, with a rough and ready style which mixes sincerity and strong emotions with humour and levity. Writing very silly songs about serious topics\, and extremely serious songs about the stupidest of things. Always with a lot of energy\, and usually screamed at the top of his lungs. This is Jakes debut as a solo artist\, with a collection of strange tunes and tales complied and curated just for you. \n\n\n\nTom George is a musician who has embraced a variety of styles\, from playing in punk and blues-rock bands\, to his current solo acoustic work\, which draws influences from folk\, pop and jazz.Tom is also a performance poet. He can often be seen on the Liverpool poetry scene\, and sometimes combines music and poetry in a performance. \n\n\n\nTom has self-released two CDs\, Postcards and Gravity\, which feature his highly melodic style. Tom will be joined in this performance by Phil Hargreaves on saxophone and flute. \n\n\n\nBrought to you by Rob Gough Promotions\, in association with Liverpool Acoustic\, Keep The Music Going\, is a series of shows all about music and supporting up and coming songwriters and musicians whilst also featuring established performers along the way. \n\n\n\nDuring this series of gigs every effort will be made to keep ticket prices affordable so that everyone has the opportunity to enjoy live music. \n\n\n\nThis show takes place on Wednesday 1st March 2023 at Pierre Griffes Cafe Bar & Bistro on Allerton Road in Liverpool. Indie Music For All wrote ‘I am astounded by the talent of this couple.They are a combination vocally\, of the best bits of Kate Bush and Enya. I play Blues based songs with open tuned guitars and bottleneck /slide guitar! Recently on Southport Mighty FM radio with Chris Strefford! Previously in bands from 1977 onwards\, with Hugo Dines\, MI5\, Dirty Dogs\, Salty sea dogs\, more recently with Mark F Tully and Alan Peters on the Narrow Boat sessions. They rock til they drop and wake up the neighbourhood! \n\n\n\nShadow Captain is the brainchild of Liverpool singer-songwriter and musician Stuart Todd. \n\n\n\nAfter playing with guitarist Neil Campbell in the acoustic duo Campbell Todd\, Stuart fronted his own group The Freebies; to promote his first solo album A Question Of Time before going on to play in Three Minute Hero. He would enjoy success as an award-winning promoter with Graham Holland and Liverpool Acoustic\, where they would host events at View Two Gallery on Mathew Street. Stuart also plays bass for artists Mark Pountney and Only Child. \n\n\n\nShadow Captain recorded the album April Moon with respected producer and engineer Andy Fernihough. Mike recently won the Audience Favourite Award at the annual Liverpool Acoustic Songwriting Challenge Final. \n\n\n\nJENNY WREN \n\n\n\n“My mum tells me I was singing before I could talk!”Jenny Wren is a singer\, songwriter and musician based in Southport. Jenny is a self professed ‘jack of all trades’ and writes on both piano and guitar. She takes her inspiration for her music from her experience with life\, love and loss. DESCRIPTION:Rob Gough Promotions are proud to announce Keep The Music Going will take place on Wednesday 22nd March 2023 at Pierre Griffes on Allerton Road in Liverpool. \n\n\n\nMILES TEMP \n\n\n\nMiles Temp is a young independent artist just turned 16. Miles started playing acoustic guitar in the third national Covid19 lockdown and started writing songs shortly after. There are releases on Bandcamp from age 14. \n\n\n\nDebut song on streaming services was ‘the end?’ when Miles was 15. The latest EP ‘Crowded Room’ is available on all platforms from 19.2.23. This had a debut play on BBC Introducing / Radio Merseyside / Dave Monks 20.2.23. \n\n\n\nMiles started to play Open mics (age 15) in Liverpool in 2022 and has a few official gigs under his belt. Already earning ‘a one to watch” from “Keep the music going” events. The 2nd gig was supporting James Holt in Round The Corner 19.2.23-this was pretty much a sold out show and in the main support slot Miles captivated the audience before the headliner and earned another gig\, some positive reviews and a slot at MCRs After All festival in May 2023. Next gig Pierre Griffes/ Allerton Rd/ Liverpool 22.3.23 \n\n\n\nCheck Miles Temp at linktr.ee/milestemp_ \n\n\n\nJOHN FOSTER \n\n\n\nDescribed as “a superb new voice” by BBC Radio Merseyside’s Dave Monks\, Fox Rivera is a Liverpool based songwriter who released his debut EP ‘The Stranger’ in January 2021. Influenced by folk legends such as John Martyn and Nick Drake he combines finger picking guitar with heartfelt vocals into songs full of the emotional highs and lows of life. Primarily a guitarist Fox went solo after a flatmate heard him singing through the bedroom wall and asked who it was.
