SUMMARY:Keep The Music Going ft Jinda Biant + Paul Iwan @ Pierre Griffes 09/11/22
DESCRIPTION:Rob Gough Promotions with Liverpool Acoustic are proud to announce that Keep The Music Going will take place on Wednesday 9th November at Pierre Griffes on Allerton Road. \n\n\n\nThis session will feature a remarkable talent named Jinda Biant and the award-winning songwriter\, Paul Iwan. \n\n\n\nJinda Biant is a singer-songwriter unlike any other. With most of his early years spent lost in his father’s record collection\, with music from the likes of Elvis Presley\, to even more legendary artists like Lead Belly and Robert Johnson. Jinda’s influences run deep\, deeper than most musicians I’ve seen for some time. \n\n\n\nBut let’s not get ahead of ourselves here. Even before all of this\, his first step on his musical journey was into Indian Classical Music\, from the Sitar playing of Ravi Shankar & the powerful vocals of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan. By the age of ten\, Jinda was performing Tabla (Indian Classical Drums) at many venues around Britain. And ever since\, Jinda loves the journey that music takes him on. \n\n\n\nNowadays\, you’re more likely to hear his passion for music\, when his bottle neck slide’s howlin’ and his Mississippi stomp box stompin’. He picked up the guitar in his early teens\, it was a path less trodden for someone of Jinda’s musical heritage\, but it was one he stepped on with a willingness to learn and he followed the Greats that had come before. \n\n\n\nSo now he finds himself making his own footsteps on his own path\, like the musicians he followed. From releasing his Debut album “Restless” last year and then being featured on BBC Radio 1’s Huw Stephen’s Show. He now finds himself playing shows worldwide\, promoting his music and collecting stories along the way. \n\n\n\nSo don’t miss your chance to see the electrifying powerful experience that is Jinda Biant. \n\n\n\n“Jinda is a young man with a lot of talent\, with individual ideas about his music and not just a copyist like so many others a very good listen – Blues Matters Magazine 2019. \n\n\n\nBBC Asian network’s Bobby Friction describes him as “the emblematic poster boy of new music.” \n\n\n\nPaul Iwan is a Liverpool-Based Singer Songwriter and Multi-Instrumentalist. \n\n\n\n‘You’re never too far away from a seductive melody or an inspirational rush…the quality of his work stands loud and proud’ \n\n\n\nMike Ainscoe\, http://www.atthebarrier.com \n\n\n\nMixing elements of Electro with Alternative Rock and emotive songwriting\, Paul Iwan (yoo-un) is one of the most intriguing talents in Liverpool’s fertile and eclectic scene. \n\n\n\n2019 was a big year for Iwan. His self-released and self-produced debut album Resister hit the shelves to local critical acclaim and was immediately pronounced ‘a classic’ by John Robb’s http://www.louderthanwar.com \n\n\n\nLater the same year\, Iwan entered and won the Acoustic 24hr Songwriting Challenge at Liverpool’s Threshold Festival with new song Returning and also acquired Julian Cope’s legendary green Framus guitar\, releasing a tribute to his hero with a cover of the Eighties classic ‘Reward’. \n\n\n\nOther highlights so far include airplay on BBC Radio 6\, a songwriting mentorship with The Kinks iconic frontman Ray Davies and numerous appearances at the International Pop Overthrow Festival in New York. \n\n\n\nIn 2021\, Iwan signed with independent local label Klee Music and released his new album Present in April 2022. \n\n\n\nDescribed by http://www.explore-liverpool.com as ‘a powerful and thought-provoking record and one on repeat’ and http://www.liverpoolsoundandvision.co.uk as ‘a masterpiece’\, Present is available now on limited edition red vinyl\, CD and download at http://www.pauliwan.co.uk \n\n\n\nTickets are just £5 and available on Eventbrite. \n\n\n\nBrought to you by Rob Gough Promotions\, in association with Liverpool Acoustic\, Keep The Music Going\, will be a series of shows all about music and supporting up and coming songwriters and musicians whilst also featuring established performers along the way. \n\n\n\nDuring this series of gigs every effort will be made to keep ticket prices affordable so that everyone has the opportunity to enjoy live music. \n\n\n\nThis session takes place on Wednesday 9th November 2022 at Pierre Griffes Cafe Bar & Bistro on Allerton Road in Liverpool. Tickets cost just £5 and are available to buy on Eventbrite. Doors open at 7pm with the music beginning at 8pm.
