SUMMARY:It Takes Two: Merseyside's Best Vocal Duos @ Music Room 05/12/18
DESCRIPTION:For this very special show on Wednesday 5th December 2018 Liverpool Acoustic brings to the Music Room four of the very best vocal duos performing on Merseyside today. Each stunning duo – ME and Deboe\, Limerance\, Two Black Sheep\, and White Little Lies – will play their own set\, and with the possibility of surprise collaborations this is an evening not to be missed. \nTickets are £12 each (£15 premium) available from the Liverpool Phil box office (from Friday 24th August) \n[divider] [/divider] \nME and Deboe\nME and DEBOE\nVibrant\, award winning duo\, ME and Deboe (Mercy Elise and Sarah Deboe)\, play driving acoustic music that lives or dies on dexterous fingers and determined singing. With sharply observed\, frequently witty lyrics\, the stand-out duo move effortlessly between powerful chords and delicate\, percussive riffs to bring a stripped back and distinctly original sound. \n“There are no tricks here [with] the duo’s driving riffs and sumptuous vocal harmonies effortlessly intertwined to devastating effect..” Tom Robinson\, BBC 6 Music. \nWebsite – meanddeboe.com\n \n[divider] [/divider] \n\nLIMERANCE\nLimerance (Jenny Coyle and Calum Gilligan) are an acoustic Americana duo\, based in Liverpool. Playing original songs with heartfelt\, optimistic and interesting lyrics\, they have a growing repertoire of original music. Their unique performances comprise of one microphone\, one acoustic guitar and two voices in close harmony\, which have been compared to Simon and Garfunkel and First Aid Kit. Limerance have an excellent reputation for their live shows\, combining their unmistakable chemistry together with light-hearted chatter\, making for engaging performances.\n \nWebsite – limerance.co.uk \n[divider] [/divider] \nTwo Black Sheep\nTWO BLACK SHEEP\nTwo Black Sheep are songwriting duo Amy Chalmers (violin and vocals) and Ian Davies (acoustic guitar and vocals). Separately they each have their own musical pedigree – Amy is a respected violinist\, vocalist and music arranger and Ian has live band\, TV credits and arena performances to his name. But it’s when they perform together the magic really comes alive! \n“Amy and Ian bring together the sense of peace and calm that only a tranquil and relaxed atmosphere can attain\, the substance of the performance and the knowledge that with the stringed instruments on show by both artists… all is quiet\, all is truly incredible.” Ian D Hall\, Liverpool Sound and Vision \nWebsite – twoblacksheep.co.uk \n[divider] [/divider] \nWhite Little Lies\nWHITE LITTLE LIES\nWhite Little Lies (Vanessa Murray and Daniel Saleh) are a country\, folk and Americana duo who combine the harmonies of country and folk infused guitar parts with various elements of the Americana and pop genres. Taking influence from bands such as; The Civil Wars\, Little Big Town\, The Wandering Hearts and The Eagles their aim is to put their own stamp on the UK music scene. \nWebsite – facebook.com/whitelittleliesmusic

SUMMARY:Little Sparrow and Elfin Bow @ The Bridgewater Hall 25/11/18
DESCRIPTION:Little Sparrow would like to invite you to join her for a magical night of music at The Bridgewater Hall\, Manchester. \nThis special night marks her return to headline performance in Manchester for the first time in over two years and joining her for this twin headline show will be the wonderful Elfin Bow. \nThis night will see Little Sparrow & Elfin Bow complete a trilogy of performances together this year\, starting in April with a hugely successful performance for Liverpool Acoustic at the Philharmonic Hall Music Room and continuing with a Songwriters Circle event (also featuring Bonnie Dobson) at Theatr Clwyd\, Wales on October 19th. \nEach artist will perform a full set of their own enchanting music and will also join each other on stage to share some special musical moments together.\nThis event will take place in The Barbirolli Room. \nLittle Sparrow’s beautifully emotive use of expression mirrors the sincerity of her delivery\, making her someone not to be missed. Her delicately crafted folk songs are created with a combination of flawless vocals\, strings\, guitars\, percussion and tender harmonies. \nElfin Bow’s music is a fairytale experience; pastoral psych-folk with an undercurrent of electronic ambience. With imagery that blends her twin passions of music and art\, her songs and stage presence exude colour\, charisma and a gentle charm. \nThis event is taking place in the Barbirolli Room.

SUMMARY:Phil Hare @ 81 Renshaw 05/10/18
DESCRIPTION:Phil Hare is an acoustic guitarist\, troubadour\, and mentor. \nInspired to buy an acoustic guitar in 1977 after discovering the words and music of Roy Harper\, John Martyn and Mike Chapman\, Phil started writing folksy ballads and songs and doing ‘floor spots’ around the many folk clubs in his native Wirral and neighbouring Liverpool. Since then Phil has built a successful career playing at festivals\, clubs and venues across the country\, and has an extensive catalogue of recorded music. His distinctive and accomplished guitar style means Phil is in great demand as a solo performer\, band member (he was in local folk rock band Full House)\, and guest musician. \nDescribed as an all-purpose acoustic guitar hero and singer-songwriter Phil\, who now lives in the Cambridgeshire town of March\, will be making a rare and highly anticipated return to Liverpool in October. Expect fine songs\, exceptional musicianship\, and a possible surprise guest or two! \n \nSupport on the night is from local singer-songwriter Marc Vormawah. Previously with Liverpool band Personal Column\, Marc is currently gaining new fans with his witty\, lyrical songs played in his own inimitable style. \n\nUnfortunately Katie Nicholas is not able to join us but her place will be amply filled by Charlie McKeon. A master of stringed instruments – guitar\, banjo and waldzither\, to name a few – Charlie is a folk enthusiast who’s equally at home with traditional and contemporary music. \nDoors open at 7.30pm and the music starts at 8.00pm. We finish by 11.00pm at the latest. \nTickets are £8 in advance both online and in person from:- \n\n81Renshaw.co.uk\nticketquarter.co.uk/online/liverpoolacoustic\nEcho Arena box office\n\n[divider] [/divider] \nPraise for Phil Hare  \n‘A maverick guitar virtuoso with a neat line in social comment’ (Time Out) \n‘If you get a chance to see Phil Hare\, take it!’ (Folk North West)
