SUMMARY:Liverpool Acoustic Afternoon at Threshold 01/04/17
DESCRIPTION:April Fool’s Day 2017 sees the Liverpool Acoustic Afternoon return to Threshold Festival for the seventh year running with a typically exciting and varied lineup. \nThe event takes place from 1.00pm to 6.00pm on Saturday 1st April 2017 in the heart of the Baltic Triangle at 24 Kitchen Street. \nKalandra will be making a highly anticipated return to the city\, flying in from Oslo to headline the event\, and taking us on a spellbinding journey through ethereal musical landscapes. \nLive! In Color is “a band from Liverpool\, and all over the world”. With members from Denver\, Colorado\, this Lipa-based outfit have a fresh and exciting sound that will definitely get the afternoon off to a rousing start. \nNiamh Jones is currently studying at the British and Irish Modern Music Institute (BIMM) in Brighton. Steeped in family traditions of Irish music\, Niamh has previously performed well-received sets at Above the Beaten Track and the Liverpool Acoustic Festival. \nDerek King is a singer-songwriter with two albums of thoughtful\, well-written songs already under his belt. A stalwart of the local scene\, Derek runs and co-hosts the weekly Liverpool Acoustic Open Mic at the Courtroom Cafe\, and the monthly Liverpool Acoustic Live at the View Two Gallery. \nIan Janco rides the full spectrum of folk and Americana\, often with a pop twinge. Hailing from California but now based in Liverpool\, Ian’s songwriting recently received a glowing review from Getintothis. \nNicola Hardman is no stranger to Liverpool Acoustic\, having stepped in at short notice to fill a gap in the lineup for Liverpool Acoustic Live last January. Nicola’s performances combine interesting songs and captivating performances with voice and keyboard. \nThree Minute Hero is a trio fronted by former Liverpool Acoustic organiser Stuart Todd on guitar and vocals\, with Andy Fernihough on bass and Chris Cousineau on percussion. Expect catchy\, upbeat songs with a social conscience. \nKatie Spencer is a singer songwriter from the Kingston upon Hull end of the M62 who’s inspired by the people and her surroundings in the Yorkshire countryside. Her ever-evolving and infinite musical tastes and influences\, including John Martyn and Led Zeppelin\, produce refreshingly mature songs that quieten the room as you accompany their characters on evocative and poignant journeys. \nThe Liverpool Acoustic Afternoon is open to all weekend and day ticket holders. Tickets can be bought in advance via thresholdfestival.com \nThreshold Festival wouldn’t be the same without the Liverpool Acoustic Afternoon. Come along and find out why on April 1st. \n  \n  \nLiverpool Acoustic Afternoon at Threshold 01/04/17
